About Me

I am Teodoro, an integrative Counsellor accredited by the BACP. I have an extensive professional background in the UK counselling field, including experience within the NHS, the social sector, and private practice.

My practice is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for individuals navigating life transitions or seeking personal growth. I specialize in Affirmative Counselling for the LGBTIQ+ community and Expat transitions. Additionally, as a prostate cancer survivor, I have dedicated experience supporting men who are currently going through or have experienced the same journey. My approach is integrative, combining talking therapies and mindfulness techniques tailored to your unique personal needs and goals.

In our sessions, we will work within a trusting environment to explore your experiences, gain new perspectives, and strengthen your resilience. My ultimate goal is to support you on your journey toward achieving greater balance and emotional well-being.

Note: As a BACP-accredited professional, my practice strictly adheres to the highest international ethical standards. This service provides emotional support and personal development guidance; it does not constitute medical or psychological treatment for clinical mental health disorders.

The Sessions

The Art of Honouring Your Story

In our sessions, I often use metaphors to simplify complex ideas. The one that resonates most deeply with me is Kintsugi—the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold.

Just as Kintsugi transforms cracks into something beautiful, I believe emotional healing is about embracing your journey rather than erasing the past. Together, we will make sense of your story, building a renewed identity that honours where you come from and where you are heading. I am committed to guiding you toward a space of growth, resilience, and clarity.

The Journey of Understand, Accept and Change

My approach to the counselling process focuses on three stages—Understand, Accept, and Change—placing you at the centre of our work together and helping you turn challenges into strengths. It is all about supporting you to honour who you are.

I am here to guide you through each of these stages, supporting you in cultivating resilience, finding purpose, and moving forward with greater clarity.

Stage 1: Understand – Identifying Patterns

Our work begins with understanding. We will explore your experiences, behaviours, and emotions to uncover the roots of your current challenges. Together, we will pinpoint patterns and highlight the areas in your life shaped by past experiences. This phase provides clarity, empowering you to deepen your self-awareness and better understand your own narrative.

Stage 2: Accept – Embracing Yourself Fully

Acceptance is about acknowledging and honoring all parts of who you are, including past experiences and vulnerabilities. Rather than viewing these as flaws, you will begin to see them as essential threads in the tapestry of your identity and resilience. This step creates a solid foundation for moving forward with self-compassion and inner strength.

Stage 3: Change – Building Resilience and Moving Forward

In this final stage, we focus on facilitating lasting growth. Together, we will work on developing practical coping strategies, establishing meaningful boundaries, and building a renewed sense of purpose. This step empowers you to approach future challenges with confidence, integrating your experiences into a stronger, more resilient sense of self.
