About Me

I am Teodoro, a London-trained Integrative Counsellor with extensive experience in the NHS, the charity sector, and private practice.

While I have a special interest in working with Expats and LGBTQ+ individuals, my practice is inclusive and open to anyone seeking support. Whether you are navigating major life transitions, coping with emotional challenges, or striving for personal growth, I am here to help. My integrative approach combines techniques such as talk therapy and mindfulness, tailored to meet your unique needs and goals.

In our sessions, I offer a secure and nurturing environment where you can delve into your challenges, gain deeper insight, and cultivate resilience. Together, we will examine how past experiences inform your present, enabling you to achieve greater balance, a sense of purpose, and lasting fulfilment. My approach is grounded in empathy, adaptability, and a steadfast commitment to empowering you throughout your journey.

The Sessions

In our sessions, I often use metaphors and analogies to make complex concepts feel relatable, and one that deeply resonates with me is Kintsugi, the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold. Just as Kintsugi transforms each crack into a beautiful part of the whole, I believe healing is about embracing every part of your journey rather than erasing the past. Together, we’ll work to bring each part of your story into focus, creating a renewed, resilient sense of self that honors where you’ve been and where you’re headed.

I am committed to helping you find value in every part of your journey, guiding you to a place of growth, strength, and clarity.

The journey of Understand, Accept and Change

My understanding about how therapy works focuses on three stages -Understand, Accept, and Change- standing you at the centre of the counselling process, turning challenges into strengths. It is all about supporting you to honour who you are.

I am here to guide you through each of them, helping you find healing, resilience, and purpose on your path forward.

Stage 1: Understand – Identifying Patterns

Our work starts with understanding. We’ll examine your experiences, behaviours, and emotions to uncover the roots of your challenges. Together, we’ll pinpoint patterns and highlight areas in your life shaped by past experiences. This step provides clarity, allowing you to better understand yourself and build self-awareness.

Stage 2: Accept – Embracing Yourself Fully

Acceptance is about acknowledging and respecting all parts of who you are, including past experiences and vulnerabilities. Rather than viewing these as flaws, you’ll begin to see them as essential to your identity and resilience. This step creates a foundation for moving forward with self-compassion and strength.

Stage 3: Change – Building Resilience and Moving Forward

In the final stage, you’ll focus on making lasting changes. We’ll work together to establish practical coping skills, set boundaries, and build a renewed sense of purpose. This step empowers you to approach future challenges with confidence, integrating your experiences into a stronger, more resilient self.
